About the Treasurer's Office

The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for collecting the property tax revenue charged by all taxing entities in Summit County. Our office also reconciles, protects, and invests all county funds.

Important Annual Property Tax Dates

  • December 1, 2025: 2025 Property Tax Due Date 
  • December 1, 2025: Deadline for Primary Residence Exemption Applications
  • December 2, 2025: 1% Penalty on Unpaid Taxes 
  • December 31, 2025: Final Deadline for 2025 Tax Relief Applications
  • January 31, 2026: Due Date for 2025 Taxes to Avoid Additional Penalties and Interest 
  • February 1, 2026: 1.5% Penalty Added & Interest Begins to Accrue 
  • July 2026: Notices of 2026 Valuation Mailed to Property Owners 
  • September 1, 2026: Due Date for 2026 Tax Relief Applications 
  • September 15, 2026: Deadline for 2026 Market Valuation Appeals 
  • September 15, 2026: Deadline for Primary Residence Exemption Applications 
  • October 25, 2026: Tax Bills Mailed to Property Owners
