Legislative Offices (State Senate and State House of Representatives)

Before filing, legislative candidates must register on disclosures.utah.gov and submit a conflict of interest form. 

State School Board 

Before filing, state school board candidates must register on disclosures.utah.gov and submit a conflict of interest form. 

County Offices and Local School Boards 

Before or at the time of filing, county candidates must complete a Conflict of Interest Form (new this year).

  1. Voter Information & Reports

You may request a list of registered voters within Summit County. You may also request a Voted Report Subscription that begins the day ballots are mailed. To request a voter list or to sign up for the report subscription, please complete this FORM and return it to the Summit County Clerk's Office by email to elections@summitcountyutah.gov or in person at the Summit County Clerk's Office.

  1. Council Districts

Click HERE to view Summit County's Interactive District Map, a helpful tool to check which district you live in. 

District 4 (orange on the map) and District 5 (yellow on the map) are up for election this year (2026). Only residents in those districts will see a County Council race on their ballots. 

  1. Signature Gathering Information

Candidates interested in gathering signatures or running as unaffiliated should contact the Summit County Clerk's Office for guidance. This does not apply to local school board candidates. 

Resources for Candidates

Unaffiliated candidates (those filing without party affiliation) must have all petition signatures gathered and verified by the Clerk's Office BEFORE a Certificate of Nomination can be accepted. Please read this notice regarding requirements. Please use the signature gathering packet template below and coordinate with the County Clerk's Office at 435-336-3040.

Candidates must file financial disclosures 2 weeks before the Primary and General Elections and 30 days after the General Election.

Candidates may submit a profile for posting on vote.utah.gov by Friday, May 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM for the Primary Election and by Friday, September 4, 2026, for the General Election.
